you can do both. Either have the above statement in your syslog-ng conf
and NOT run klogd, or run klogd and leave the statement out.
I personally prefer syslog-ng to open another fd as opposed to having
an additional process running. Or run *BSD or commercial *X .. no such
thing as a klogd. :) YMMV.
