Hi Janani, I am sorry, but I don't really understand you. Nevertheless, I am trying to answer you. First of all, what kind of tests have you thought? Of course, we have tested the syslog protocol of the syslog-ng and it worked. If you have any question about this protocol, or found a bug, don't hesitate to tell us it. Also, we have installer packages for the following platforms, as you can see: debian-etch-amd64 <http://www.balabit.hu/downloads/files/syslog-ng/sources/3.0.5/setups/debian-etch-amd64/> Directory 2009-12-07 debian-etch-i386 <http://www.balabit.hu/downloads/files/syslog-ng/sources/3.0.5/setups/debian-etch-i386/> Directory 2009-12-07 freebsd-6.1-i386 <http://www.balabit.hu/downloads/files/syslog-ng/sources/3.0.5/setups/freebsd-6.1-i386/> Directory 2009-12-07 linux-amd64 <http://www.balabit.hu/downloads/files/syslog-ng/sources/3.0.5/setups/linux-amd64/> Directory 2009-12-07 linux-i386 <http://www.balabit.hu/downloads/files/syslog-ng/sources/3.0.5/setups/linux-i386/> Directory 2009-12-07 rhel-4-amd64 <http://www.balabit.hu/downloads/files/syslog-ng/sources/3.0.5/setups/rhel-4-amd64/> Directory 2009-12-07 rhel-4-i386 <http://www.balabit.hu/downloads/files/syslog-ng/sources/3.0.5/setups/rhel-4-i386/> Directory 2009-12-07 rhel-5-amd64 <http://www.balabit.hu/downloads/files/syslog-ng/sources/3.0.5/setups/rhel-5-amd64/> Directory 2009-12-07 rhel-5-i386 <http://www.balabit.hu/downloads/files/syslog-ng/sources/3.0.5/setups/rhel-5-i386/> Directory 2009-12-07 suse-10-i386 <http://www.balabit.hu/downloads/files/syslog-ng/sources/3.0.5/setups/suse-10-i386/> Directory 2009-12-07 This is just a list from our website (http://www.balabit.com/downloads/files/syslog-ng/sources/3.0.5/setups/). Also, you can download the source code of syslog-ng and try to compile for your platform by manual. I am trying to judge the level of confidence for the latest stable open-source version of syslog-ng version 3.0.5. Where can I find the test results of the tests that have been run again version 3.0.5 of syslog-ng? I want to find out if tests have been run to test the new features in Version 3.x specifically support for the new IETF-syslog protocol standard ( RFC5424 ). Do any of the major Linux distros support version 3.x of syslog-ng?
Thanks, Janani
