Our kernel is:
* Red Hat 2.4.20-20.9 base kernel
* epoll_lt 0.17 (versus 2.4.21)
* ebtables-brnf-3 (versus 2.4.21)	(for transproxying bridged traffic)
* tproxy 1.1.3 (versus 2.4.22)
* some other misc patches

Works just fine.
