I worked with the issue board in GitHub to get resolution. The latest repo pull from last night resolved the issue. I'm good to go now. Now just struggling with the learning curve trying to get a cisco parser working for my switches.

Hi Joseph,

Which APT repo are you using? Any chance, you can try out ours? https://github.com/syslog-ng/syslog-ng#debianubuntu<https://shared.outlook.inky.com/link?domain=github.com&t=h.eJxtj8ESgiAYhF_FoWuJBIJ06lUASf8kdOTnUE3vnnjp0m1n9tvd2TfJayCXioyIS7pQOgCO2dZuftD0TGEeTnH4qUPvLZiYbY6YybEiU8maZQngextmN7nRQITo6N2tBobrP29v91Yobc7KilafJbsJ30mmFZdcCsa5pky2qtFKNaLuWNny-xYiBFOnl5mMS9c5euh9RMBnaS1Yv2Exh7BJLNfY5wvws0ov.MEUCIQDgp8wTLudrF84ORC6_jM7mCBIwGVGmjMPBD0YH4m927AIgIS2XZOUhTICbg3KXQo_5dqi8SMY38Q-pSMtxhvBsfRI>
We test it every night and we see no problem with it right now. Also, I did a manual install with ubuntu:jammy docker and the above-mentioned repo, and it seemed to work.

I have seen these kinds of error messages, when I accidentally added the wrong APT repo, like ubuntu-focal instead of ubuntu-jammy, etc...
If you are already using our APT repo, can you give me the content of /etc/apt/sources.list.d/syslog-ng-ose.list?

Cheers,
Attila

>From research it looks like libjson-c4 has been replaced in the Debian repositories by libjson-c5 is there a way to utilize the libjson-c5 version or how should I resolve this issue? FYI this was working on Ubuntu 22.04 Jammy up until the past week. I ran updates on the system to resolve another issue and after that I'm getting an error starting the daemon
