           Summary: 3.5.4.1 memory leak
           Product: syslog-ng
           Version: 3.5.x
          Platform: PC
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: unspecified
         Component: syslog-ng
        AssignedTo: bazsi at balabit.hu
        ReportedBy: erempel at uvic.ca
Type of the Report: ---
   Estimated Hours: 0.0

in our production environment our syslog process consumed 8GB of RAM while not queueing any messages.

We take 10 minute syslog-ng-ctl stats snapshots and 15 minute process (ps -ef) style snapshots.

There is definitely a memory leak there somewhere.

We run multiple pattern databases, with multiple json output streams along side regular file destinations.

What would you like from me to track it down?
- valgrind
- core dump
- recompile with debuggin?

If you provide the flags, I'll provide the data :-)
