I honestly have no idea, libsyslog-ng-crypto.so is not in any way different to the way we handle it from other libraries compiled/linked by syslog-ng.

It is linked by libtool just like libsyslog-ng.so

It sounds like a bug in rpm/debugedit, especially if it dumps core.
