I think it's just consistent to drop .spec (and even systemd) related files. 

A more convenient solution would be to include some file eg. contact distribution maintainers:

fedora/epel: syslog-ng-owner at fedoraproject.org https://admin.fedoraproject.org/pkgdb/acls/bugs/syslog-ng
suse:
debian:
ubuntu: 
(selection just ramdom, maybe better in alphabetical order)
