You need a newer version of libevtlog. You can grab the sources from
http://www.balabit.com/downloads/files?path=/eventlog/0.2/eventlog_0.2.12.tar.gz,
or you can grab the debianised sources from Debian sid, and compile
those on Lucid aswell.

That should fix the linking issue.

(If I remember correctly, then 3.2.4 will fail at configure time if it
fails to find a recent libeventlog)
