Config contains:

filter f_systlog        { facility(syslog); };

and syslog-ng 3.0.1 yells: syntax error in /etc/syslog-ng/syslog-ng.conf at line 75.

Replacing "facility(syslog)" with "facility(news)" and problem is gone which suggests problems with parsing "syslog" correctly.
