The messages started coming in like this when I upgraded to syslog-ng
1.5.12, but upgraded to 1.5.13 still with no success to fixing this.

The characters after the second mention of hostname and before the third
mentioned hostname is what this email is about. Has anyone else seen
this?

I'm running syslog-ng 1.5.13 with libol-0.3.1 under Solaris 8 (SPARC).
These messages are being reported from a Foundry NetIron 800 (L3
switches).
