This Error-Message I found in my syslog logfile:

assertion "i < nfds" failed: file "io.c", line 172

There is an other problem in the "io.c" source. On my computer, the
syslog-nd often dies with a message in the syslog logfile:

Jan 6 11:09:10 syslog-ng[6929]: io.c: do_write:
write() failed (errno 32), Broken pipe
Jan 7 15:20:14 syslog-ng[11521]: io.c: do_write:
write() failed (errno 32), Broken pipe
Jan 7 16:46:57 syslog-ng[13775]: io.c: do_write:
write() failed (errno 32), Broken pipe
Jan 10 11:35:00 syslog-ng[19065]: io.c: do_write:
write() failed (errno 32), Broken pipe

Only an "kill -9" can kill the syslog-ng, and I can't reproduce this
error.

On both server (my machine an the log server) is FreeBSD installed
(3.3 on my machine, 4.0 on the Server).
