Compilation Woes - RHEL 5 cont.
I decided to install the eventlog libs into the default location (prefix = /usr/local) and syslog-ng still won't find these libraries. Anyone get this compiled and installed on rhel 5 32-bit? -Chuck

Chuck, I just found the syslog-ng and eventlog rpms and installed them. Is there a reason why you need to compile? Regards, Andy

Hi Chuck, I compiled syslog-ng 2.0.6 on RHEL 5 x86_32 and made rpm with source. You can find them here: http://www.unipr.it/~raffaele/software/syslog-ng-2.0.6.tgz Regards Raffaele
Someone has sent me rpms but thanks... Just curious, what was I doing wrong? -Chuck On Dec 20, 2007 9:02 AM, Raffaele <raffaele@unipr.it> wrote:

You forgot to add the directory containing eventlog.pc to the PKG_CONFIG_PATH variable before running configure. I'd recommend you use Raffaele's rpms as they're more up to date. Regards, Andy
