Hi, We are moving from rsyslog to syslog-ng, we know that rsyslog as /etc/rsyslog.d/21-cloudinit.conf for cloud init logs, once we remove rsyslog for syslog-ng what would happen to our cloudinit logs? Thanks!

You will get them in /var/log/syslog (or whatever other file syslog-ng is configured for). -- Let him choose out of my files, his projects to accomplish. -- Shakespeare, "Coriolanus"
Hi, Honestly, I don't really know cloudinit, but it seems to submit its local logs to /dev/log so it should be fine. cloudinit actually configures rsyslog so that all cloudinit's logs go to a separate folder/file. If that's what you want, it can also be configured in syslog-ng. -- Bazsi On Sat, Aug 8, 2015 at 1:11 AM, Amar Johal <amar@ajohal.com> wrote:
