Howdy Folks, I've been looking at syslog clients for windows, and have not yet found one that can do tcp based logging. Does anyone know of such a program (OpenSource/Commercial/Free Software, doesn't matter)? I'm in the unfortunate situation of needing to log events from about 100 NT machines, and would rather not rely upon UDP... Thank. -Dan -- Dan Schleifer | 804.242.5088 | dan@soyjew.com Super Jew

The syslog protocol is an ad-hoc standard, and in its most wide-spread form it works on UDP only. TCP based logging is an extension in syslog-ng. -- Bazsi PGP info: KeyID 9AF8D0A9 Fingerprint CD27 CFB0 802C 0944 9CFD 804E C82C 8EB1 url: http://www.balabit.hu/pgpkey.txt
