Syslog-ng 3.7.2 install fails on U12.04
When installing from the repository here (http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/laszlo_budai:/syslog-ng/xUbu...), the install fails to install syslog-ng3.7.2 with the message: rm_conffile voodoo unsupported for package syslog-ng-mod-python! -- This appears to be coming when installing syslog-ng-mod-python due to a failure in a preinstallation script. How can I fix this?
This happens on the 3.7.2-1 package version as well: apt-get install syslog-ng-core=3.7.2-1 <-- works apt-get install syslog-ng=3.7.2-1 <-- fails This is because syslog-ng version 3.7.2-1 decides to install the broken 3.7.3.4 candidate and I don't seem to make it install the 3.7.2.1 candidate (default) likely because the control file does not specify the dependency on 3.7.2.1. Could I get some help with this? thanks in advance V ________________________________ From: syslog-ng <syslog-ng-bounces@lists.balabit.hu> on behalf of Varugis Kurien <vkurien@midfinsystems.com> Sent: Thursday, November 10, 2016 12:09:41 PM To: syslog-ng@lists.balabit.hu Subject: [syslog-ng] Syslog-ng 3.7.2 install fails on U12.04 This sender failed our fraud detection checks and may not be who they appear to be.
