[warning: really long post follows]
I'm running syslog-ng 1.4.14 on a number of Red Hat 7.1/7.2 systems. It's configured fairly simply, writing logs to /var/log/programname.$YEAR$MONTH$DATE and also forwards logs via UDP to a central syslog-ng hub.
It seems to be a memory corruption problem. As I fixed one in 1.4.15 please try that version first (a single byte at random memory address could be decremented by one). If the problem persists, I might need some more information. -- Bazsi PGP info: KeyID 9AF8D0A9 Fingerprint CD27 CFB0 802C 0944 9CFD 804E C82C 8EB1
