obviously, your hosts use their short hostname instead of the FQDN to log messages. You can fix this by putting the FQDN in hostname, however this is done in your specific OS. `hostname` or `uname -n` should output the FQDN. Another option would be to use_dns(yes) and keep_hostname(no), which could lead to a performance problem (use some sort of DNS caching on the syslog-ng server).
