SSL in the FreeBSD base system does not have it. Algernon helped to find the correct ./configure arguments, so using SSL from the base system works now in sysutils/syslog-ng3. I hope to update sysutils/syslog-ng3-devel to 3.3alpha2 later this week, so it will also be available from ports, making compilation a lot more easy.
