[syslog-ng] syslog-ng Digest, Vol 239, Issue 4

Try one of these 2 options:

1. syslog-ng version 3.35.1 (older)

subscription-manager repos --enable
codeready-builder-for-rhel-9-$(arch)-rpms

dnf install
https://dl.fedoraproject.org/pub/epel/epel-release-latest-9.noarch.rpm

dnf repolist # show repositories

dnf search syslog-ng

dnf install syslog-ng # confirm with a y to start installation, then
another y to accept the GPG key

syslog-ng is now installed and enabled to auto-start at boot time but
not started yet. 

2. syslog-ng version 4.8.1 (current)

source: https://copr.fedorainfracloud.org/coprs/czanik/syslog-ng48/

This is the latest stable version of syslog-ng.

cd /etc/yum.repos.d/

wget
https://copr.fedorainfracloud.org/coprs/czanik/syslog-ng48/repo/epel-9/czanik-syslog-ng48-epel-9.repo

dnf repolist # show repositories

dnf search syslog-ng

dnf install syslog-ng # confirm with a y to start installation, then
another y to accept the GPG key

dnf install syslog-ng-bpf* # Optional module recommended to leverage the
eBPF support

dnf install syslog-ng-http* # Optional modules recommended to leverage
the HTTP support

syslog-ng is now installed and enabled to auto-start at boot time but
not started yet.
