Turns out it was easier than I thought. It's fixed on the hotfix/3.3/unix-dgram-statename branch of my git repo (link to the patch below). I have not merged it
to master yet, as I'm not entirely sure that the change always works as I expect it to, so I'll ask Bazsi for a review first.
