[syslog-ng] Need help in running syslog-ng

Could you post the output of configure, or config.log, perhaps?

Also, you can try running syslog-ng with the -Fvde parameters (in
addition to -f), which will output quite a lot of debug info to stderr,
which might help us determine what's going wrong.
