Please make sure, that the .run file has the executable attribute set
before you attempt to run it:

# chmod +x syslog-ng-premium-edition-3.0.4-linux-i386.run
# ./syslog-ng-premium-edition-3.0.4-linux-i386.run

or force the shell to execute it:

# sh syslog-ng-premium-edition-3.0.4-linux-i386.run
