I've fixed this bug in all three supported branches of syslog-ng: 3.0, 3.1 and 3.2 (earlier versions were not affected anyway).

This bug has been introduced in 3.0 and went unnoticed (or at least unreported) for several years. Thank you for finding and reporting it.
