I bumped into exactly the same issue. It seems to be that this bug:

*hasn't been fixed yet (or at least not in the tarball you and me
downloaded).
It's a one character fix that is documented in the message I linked to
earlier.
It should be fixed in the next release, but if you build from source
it's a no-brainer to fix.
