[syslog-ng] syslog-ng 2.0.5 dropped messages - totally confused

I find it particularly odd that caribou itself, the originator, has
a different count on its local log file than is reported by syslog-ng
statistics for destination(syslog).

How did you measure the "files on disk show" value?
"wc -l" of a log file? "grep -c"? Other?
