Is there a particular reason you're still stuck with RH9, rather than
moving to RHEL 4.0, CentOS 4.whatever, or Fedora Core 4/5? RH9 has been
unsupported for quite some time now, and is known to be easily rootable,
as many security fixes haven't been backported.
