I defintely like the idea of being able to kick syslog-ng  and have stats 
drop out of, escpially if you can get soure and dest stats. but it is very 
nice to have those stats automatically written on a regular basis so you 
can pull that into a spreadsheet and generate some graphs based on that 
data. (yea you could script something to kick syslog-ng on a regular 
basis, but that is extra work ;)
