Well you can do that but it still won't work as you are using 0.3.9. The
configure clearly is looking for something equal to or better than 0.3.13.

I think you'll find you need:
./configure --with-libol=/usr/local/bin
for the syslog-ng ./configure, coz that's where libol make install
puts /usr/local/bin/libol-config by default.
