[syslog-ng]Who can help a newbie?

Anyone who takes the time to read the docs.

syslog-ng will start a program to feed lines to, but it will only start
it once at startup and feed it matching lines on its standard input. You
need to write it in such a way that it does the right thing in this
situation.

There's an example at
<URL:http://www.campin.net/newlogcheck.html#syslog-ng> where it says "
Email certain logs". That is to simply email them. Start with the perl
or the shell example and go from there.
