Hi,
I'm running various Solaris and Linux boxes with their original syslog an=
d=20
log centrally on a Solaris box with syslog-ng. It works and I'm happy.
For logging with the Solaris syslogd see also the thread "replacing part =
of=20
prog name with hostname". Looks like Solaris syslogd has some quirks=20
concerning the host name in some installations.
