[syslog-ng]which 1.5.x version works on solaris 8?

Hi all!

  I'd like to run a version of the development branch of syslog-ng on a 
solaris 8 machine (because of all the nice new features). I've tried 1.5.13, 
which doesn't compile and 1.5.15, which simply dies (without a single log 
line of output) with my config files (the same configs work with 1.4.14, 
though).
  Are there any known problems with 1.5.x on solaris 8?
  Can somebody point me to a working version?
  Are there incompatibilities in the configuration apart from the new 
features?
