[syslog-ng]file buffer flushing

can syslog-ng delay the flush of a file buffer? I have noflushd running
and if syslog-ng flushes his buffers, my disc spins up. But I will see
new messages in the log files. Is it possible, that syslog writes the
messages in the file, but don't call flush() on this file.
