[syslog-ng]Unaligned trap errors on Alpha-Linux

has a fix been found to the "unaligned trap" messages alpha users 
have been seeing?

i've got tons of them i'd like to eliminate from my
alpha/linux-2.2.18/redhat6.2/syslog-ng-1.4.12/libol-0.2.23 clusters.
it looks like an internal message, but it still occurs when i take
internal() out of my source definition (?).  thx for any pointers.
