I was successfully running syslog-ng-1.4.12 on a Redhat 7.1 system under kernel 2.4.2-2. After upgrading the kernel to 2.4.6, syslog-ng starts OK, but dies immediately. There are no error messages in the logs. When started from the command line there are error messages " Error creating AF_INET socket (Network is unreachable)" and "Error initializing configuration, exiting".
