No, I am not 100% sure.
I uninstalled the previous version and installed the latest. I have not yet found out how to check that.

this seems to indicate that syslog-ng is being linked against an old
version of glib at runtime. but glib 2.25 should be ok, are you
absolutely sure that syslog-ng is using the one installed by the
sunfreeware package?
