Thanks, that is now working again.

Hi,

3.13.2-3 is now available which should fix MongoDB packaging problems. Oh, and while the version number in 3.13.2-2 did not change, I updated the sources to 3.13 stable git branch fixing Application Adapter related problems and a few memory leaks. See https://github.com/balabit/syslog-ng/commits/3.13/master for details.

AMQP and MongoDB are still not enabled on Fedora as those fail to compile with openssl 1.1 (or with libressl, as I learned from a FreeBSD user).

Here is the ChangeLog for the past two versions.

* Tue Jan 23 2018 Peter Czanik <peter@czanik.hu> - 3.13.2-3
- fix MongoDB packaging

* Fri Jan 19 2018 Peter Czanik <peter@czanik.hu> - 3.13.2-2
- update to 3.13 stable git (fixes Application Adapter)
- enable AMQP and MongoDB on EPEL

Let me know, if you run into any further problems.

Bye,

Hi,

Oops. It seems that I messed it up while I re-enabled amqp and mongodb support for EPEL-7 packages. I'll fix it ASAP (most likely tomorrow in morning, or today if I can steal some time for it).

Thank you for the report.

Peter

The copr repo at

https://copr-be.cloud.fedoraproject.org/results/czanik/syslog-ng313/epel-7-$basearch/

has a new build of syslog-ng. The actual version of syslog-ng has not changed, just the build.
The package has gone from version 3.13.2-1 to  3.13.2-2 and new dependencies have been added.
Specifically the 4 below

--> Processing Dependency: libmongoc-1.0.so.0(LIBMONGOC_1.0)(64bit) for package: syslog-ng-3.13.2-2.el7.centos.x86_64
--> Processing Dependency: libbson-1.0.so.0(LIBBSON_1.0)(64bit) for package: syslog-ng-3.13.2-2.el7.centos.x86_64
--> Processing Dependency: libmongoc-1.0.so.0()(64bit) for package: syslog-ng-3.13.2-2.el7.centos.x86_64
--> Processing Dependency: libbson-1.0.so.0()(64bit) for package: syslog-ng-3.13.2-2.el7.centos.x86_64

Since the version of syslog-ng has not changed, how come the dependencies have changed?

Is this a mistake and these dependencies are not actually needed?

I ask because I am running the package 3.13.2-1 and not having any difficulties (I am not using the mondo module).

If the dependencies are not required, can they be removed and a new build created?
