Everything looks fine in your configs. Syslog outputs stats every 10 minutes by default, and from your configuration, should end up in /var/log/messages. These stats will show how many messages were sent to each destination, and received from each source. Or if there's problems, it'll show how many messages were dropped.

Will look like:

Subject: [syslog-ng] Syslog-ng Server Setup

I am attempting to set up a test syslog-ng server in a VM farm. I run CentOS 5.5 and Syslog-ng OSE 2.1.4. My VMs can ping each other and ssh to and from each other. The firewalls are off. Yet I still can only locally log for both server and client, the server doesn't see my clients logs at all.

Attached are my server and client configuration files.
