As I mentioned, I did not yet check these RPMs due to lack of EL5 environment. So I don't know why the first message is there. The rest of the messages are there, because you have a missing @version information at the beginning of the configuration, which was introduced after version 2.1. For details check https://www.balabit.com/sites/default/files/documents/syslog-ng-ose-3.6-guides/en/syslog-ng-ose-v3.6-guide-admin/html-single/index.html#configuration-syntax These messages describe the changes in default behaviour.
If AMQP is supported by the RPM, you should see something similar in the file list (depending on if you use a 64bit platform or not): /usr/lib64/syslog-ng/libafamqp.so

No, version 2.1 does not support AMQP. There are syslog-ng 3.6 and 3.7
packages for EL6 on Copr, which supports AMQP:

as possible, but I have no time frame for it.
