Hi
You are missing the glib package which syslog-ng has a
dependency upon, like eventlog.
libglib-2.0.a can be found in the glib2-devel package
which i obtained from Red Hat Advanced Server 3 installation
cd's.
I'm on Red Hat Linux so downloaded the package
onto my machine and installed via RPM. You may get a conflict if another Glib
version is installed that doesnt contain the library libglib-2.0.a but i just
removed the older version first and then installed gli2-devel which worked for
me once i complied syslog-ng again.

Leena
