I am compiling on a solaris 10 Opteron machine.I have tried with the ivykis i compiled... ( i had used 0.36.1 version). But, what confuses me more is that this same binary runs fine on a Solaris 11 Opteron machine without any core dump and successfully logs as well whereas on the machine I compiled, it core dumps...
should trying another version of ivykis be a good option.?

That's interesting. Is that with the bundled, internal ivykis, or with a
version you compiled yourself? If the latter, which version of ivykis
did you use?
