<p>This happens on the 3.7.2-1 package version as well:</p>

<p>apt-get install syslog-ng-core=3.7.2-1 <-- works</p>
<p>apt-get install syslog-ng=3.7.2-1 <-- fails</p>
<p><br>
</p>
<p>This is because syslog-ng version 3.7.2-1 decides to install the broken 3.7.3.4 candidate and I don't seem to make it install the 3.7.2.1 candidate (default) likely because the control file does not specify the dependency on 3.7.2.1.

the install fails to install syslog-ng3.7.2 with the message:</p>
<p><span><i>rm_conffile voodoo unsupported for package syslog-ng-mod-python! </i></span></p>
<p>--</p>
<p>This appears to be coming when installing syslog-ng-mod-python due to a failure in a preinstallation script. How can I fix this?<br>
