The application is running  on a non-global zone which shares /usr /var /lib FS from the global zone 
the syslog-ng is installed on the global zone and saame is available on the non-global zone since the FS are shared

I have edited the  /usr/local/etc/syslog-ng.conf ( since /usr is shared it is avilable on the non-global zone ) 
syslog-ng binaries run fine.

I am not sure since the app is running on the non-global zone if this scenario would work
